Learning Objectives:

Participants should be able to:

  1. Evaluate evidence regarding when vaginal, laparoscopic or robotic approaches to gynecologic surgery are indicated
  2. Recognize the components needed to deliver patient centered care
  3. Summarize outcome data of new and innovative gynecologic surgery technologies
  4. Apply knowledge of pelvic anatomy and perioperative care best practices to minimize peri-operative complications
  5. Practice surgical teaching and mentorship strategies that maximize the educational value to the next generation of surgeons
  6. Describe how to conduct and evaluate high quality surgical education research to maximize trainee education
  7. Identify health care disparities within gynecologic surgery to minimize biases that can occur in taking care of women of all backgrounds

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Cedars-Sinai and Society of Gynecologic Surgery.  Cedars-Sinai is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
