FMIGS-SGS Subgroup of the FPRN®

Established in 2015 through a partnership with AAGL, the FMIGS–SGS FPRN® Subgroup integrates FMIGS fellows into the SGS Fellows Pelvic Research Network (FPRN®), providing opportunities to participate in multi-center research that advances minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and pelvic health. The subgroup promotes a collaborative, evidence-driven environment that supports both clinical and educational excellence. By engaging in study development, data collection, and scholarly dissemination, fellows build essential research skills and contribute to evidence that informs practice and drives innovation, while strengthening academic productivity and fostering a culture of inquiry within the fellowship community.

Call for Proposals

What are we looking for?

Feasible, high impact studies that address a gap in our current knowledge and utilize the multi-center nature of our network. Given the typical timeline study designs, including case/control; retrospective cohort; and well-conceived cross-sectional study designs can be enhanced by considering multi-center data access and generation.

How detailed should my proposal be?

Given the short turnaround time from starting fellowship to this deadline, we encourage EVERYONE that is interested to apply, even if the research projects/proposals are in preliminary phases. There will be an opportunity to refine timeline, budget, design and feasibility prior to presentation at AAGL if chosen.
