The 2020 Course takes place virtually from
Thursday, December 3rd - Saturday, December 6th.


 Course Description

Join us in this virtual event focusing on the surgical management of the full spectrum of advanced gynecologic surgical problems and approaches; including surgical education, technique and evidence-based approaches to improve surgeon competence and patient outcomes.

Emphasis will be on teaching pelvic anatomy, learning vaginal hysterectomy and other minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. This year’s course features optional roundtables that allow for small group discussion and a Remote Hands-On Suturing course that you will not want to miss!


Who Should Attend

The SGS conference is designed for obstetricians/gynecologists and

sub-specialty fellows. Residents and fellows are welcome to attend the

didactic sessions at reduced rates.

 Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the meeting attendees should be able to:

  1. Formulate and practice techniques to optimize minimally invasive approach to hysterectomy including trans-vaginal hysterectomy.
  2. Identify and discuss the surgical anatomy of the pelvis as it relates to gynecologic surgery, as well as the biomechanics of pelvic support and continence.
  3. Formulate clinical algorithms in diagnosis and treatment management of patients with stress urinary incontinence.
  4. Describe indications and set up for office hysteroscopy and understand how to apply the “no touch” vaginoscopic technique.
  5. Assimilate new techniques for teaching gynecologic surgery including surgical coaching principles.
