While historically a live multi-day hands-on course, the course was redesigned to be offered virtually on the first Sunday in December. The course includes three 90-minute panel presentations/discussions over a six-hour period (1) Pushing the Envelope with total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, (2) Pushing the Envelope with Total Vaginal Hysterectomy, and (3) Difficult Cases/Surgical Anatomy.  A limited number of 1:1 or small group coaching sessions are offered.  The course will offer 4.5 CME credits which will be provided by Amedco.

At the conclusion of the course, learners are able to:

  1. Describe techniques to optimize minimally invasive routes to hysterectomy including laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and vaginal approaches.
  2. Identify key anatomic structures and avascular spaces of the pelvis to optimize efficiency and safety in pelvic surgery.
  3. Formulate clinical algorithms for diagnosis and treatment of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
  4. Describe work up for pelvic masses and application of medical and surgical treatment strategies for uterine preservation.
  5. Assimilate new techniques for teaching gynecologic surgery including surgical coaching.
